Ethan's day!

Here is an example of our Roving Reporter Entry from a student a few years ago!  Each week, students will be assigned a day to report about our class events.

Hello, my name is Ethan and I am your Roving Reporter for Monday, December 6th. When I got to school today, my friend Austin opened my car door for me. He is on the Safety Patrol. He was shivering because it was only 47 degrees outside.

I went into the school and walked to my classroom. Our morning work was written on the board. We had to do a page of Science, write our Bible verse for the week (Philippians 1:6), and do a spelling page. It was not one of the more exciting mornings at school for me. Eventually, we went to recess. I was a little sad that I had not finished all of my morning work, because I had to take it with me and finish it at the playground. Some people played soccer and some played four-square.

We did more work back in the classroom and then it was time for lunch. I brought my lunch from home and I ate it very quickly because I was so hungry. For dessert, my mom packed a sugar cookie from the FMCS Cookie Exchange. After lunch, Mrs. Couch read from the book Where the Red Fern Grows to us. It is a great, classic book about a boy and his two puppies. It was my mom's favorite book when she was little, and it might become one of my favorites, too.

Next, we went to computer class with Mr. Sinex. My friend Jordan tried to help me with my graph but he accidentally deleted most of my work. He didn't know how to fix it, and so far, neither do I. Back in the classroom, we reviewed our Science papers for a quiz tomorrow.

Finally, our long school day was over. :) I went to basketball practice along with Jordan, Patrick, and Austin. Mr. Sinex is the JV basketball coach. We practiced lay-ups and played a scrimmage game. We have a game tomorrow against SFCA. So far, our team is undefeated!

I finally left the school building at 5:30 and went home to do homework, eat dinner (yum!), and rest up for another busy day tomorrow. This is Ethan, your Roving Reporter, signing off.
